SGBK Women Artists
Some of our women artists were honoured with awards. We heartily congratulate them.
The Swiss Society of Women Artists in the Visual Arts (SGBK) is always particularly delighted by such honours received by women, as they demonstrate that women are being acknowledged in the cultural scene. Awards are important support measures, be it that an artist becomes more well-known, be it that greater freedom for artistic activity is created or that an artist can gain new experience by participating in artist-in-residence programmes.
The SGBK supports the public acknowledgement of its members with exhibitions and women-specific goals. We wish that many more of our women artists will receive the recognition they deserve.
